This was the second time that we allowed Ezanne to "help out" in Godma's baking session. The first time we allowed her to play with the cookie dough and she was so excited. It left a deep impression in her memory and she went around telling all her aunties about her baking experience. She will say "Roll roll roll", using her little hands to demonstrate the rolling dough action. At times when she came back home at night, she will go to the kitchen and peep into the oven to see if I am baking.
There was a time I was baking muffins when she came back. Without going into the kitchen, she said "Ma, bake!". She is smart. She can smell the baking goods without seeing. Hmm, next time I can bake with her when she grows older. :)

My parents brought me to the goat farm again, since GY khor khor and myself like it so much. This time round I am more daring than my 1st visit. I am no longer afraid of the goats and managed to feed them with hay.. all by myself ;)

Zanne is always uncooperative when comes to photo taking. However, this particular night she surprised me. She posed voluntarily for the camera. She was very patient and made several pose for the lens. Towards the end of the night, I finally realised why she was so "cooperative". Make a guess? Scroll down for the answer..
Want to take picture of me? Sure.. I will pose for you. 1st snap
2nd snap
3rd snap
4th snap.. the natural pose
5th shot with godma.. I insisted to squat and waited for mummy to finish with the phototaking.
Playing in godma's room after reaching home. Did you notice that I was squating down in most of my earlier pictures? I WAS POOING.. hehehe.. ;)

Little Ezanne loves to dance. She will sway her body whenever there are music around. Be it coming from the CD player, TV or handphone. She is now tall enough to on the power to the switch of CD player by herself. She will on the player almost every night before her bedtime.

Little Ezanne is quite a sociable girl. She is not shy about strangers. There was a time we met an Indian family on our way back home from morning breakfast. Zanne went up to them, said Hi and wave at them. I was a bit stunned. The couple smiled and got their kids to say hello back to her. I thought this family was one of the neighbours. However, when I asked mummy if she knows them, mummy said no.. they were strangers.. keke..

Flashcards are quite effective for children. As for Ezanne, we did not flash the cards to her cos she will always end up snatching the cards away from us. Therefore, I bought another set of fruits and vegetable cards which is thicker so that she could play, bend or do whatever she likes with the cards. I guess she likes to hold or be in control of the cards rather than being flashed.
What we did is to lay some cards in front of her before bedtime. We will then request for a certain kind of fruits and she has to find the right one for us. When she found the correct one, she will feel proud and expect us to applause for her. If it is wrong, she will try her luck and anyhow choose another card.. haha..
Our method somehow works for Zanne. She could recognize quite a number of fruits, eg. papaya, banana, coconut, apple, pear, pineapple and now strawberry! I let her tried some strawberry the other day and next day she picked the right card.. However, sometimes she will still forget if she skip her practice for some consecutive days.

Ezanne gave me a surprise last night. Two nights ago, she had requested to put on the new white hello kitty shoes that I bought for her. When daddy asked her who bought the shoes, she replied that it's from Mummy. I told her that it's from godma instead and pointed at myself and said "me". I didnt realise that she had pick up another new word at that point.
Last night, I gone through a lift and flap book with her where one of the pages acts like a mirror which you could see your own reflection. When I asked her who is the reflection in the mirror and I gave the answer "it's me", Ezanne immediately pointed at herself and said "me". Mummy and myself were surprised that she understands the word "me" cos we never teach her that before. This morning when I recalled, I guess she picked the new word the night before when she wore her new shoe shoe.. :)

Mummy and daddy brought Ezanne to a goat farm last Sunday. Initially, Ezanne did not dare to feed the goat with hay. Subsequently, she managed to feed the goat with the help of mummy holding her little hand. I heard from mummy that GY khor khor is more daring. He fed the goat without anyone's help.
This trip to the farm is educational for the kids. That night when I asked Zanne where did she go during the day, her face immediately brightened up and said "Goat". Now she could recognize the real life animal and learn another new word.

Xuan will be 18 months old in 5 days time. Time really flies. She has now grown to be much taller than her peers. She is now in the stage that will repeat exactly what you said and she can do it quite well at her age. That's why we have to be careful with our tongue so that she will not learn the wrong words without knowing what it means.
She is always entertaining and brought us lots of laughter. She is at times innocent and yet cheeky. And she likes to make us laugh. What a little precious darling..

Tomorrow is the Mooncake Festival. Godma bought me a star-shape Hello Kitty lantern. Unlike last year when I was still a crawling baby, now I can enjoy this festival more. I can carry my battery operated lantern and dance along with the music. Aren't I vain? However, I am still not allowed to eat mooncake cos the adults feel that it is too sweet for me. Maybe next year I will be able to try some.
We went to Chinatown with GY khor khor last Friday to see the light-up. I get to see the beautiful lanterns and enjoyed myself throughout the whole night.. Happy Mid-Autumn Festival :)

Here are some photos and video taken during my daddy's birthday last week. You can see my greedy look from the video as I kept staring at the cake throughout the whole session. I even bend down my head and tried to eat the black forest before papa lit up the candle. After the cake cutting, I finally get to eat the cake. After I had finished mine, I started to eye at godma's share. Therefore, I moved closer to her and she gave some to me. Yippy.. and yummy yummy.. ;)

My parents and godma brought me out for dinner on Fridays again. I have now grown bigger and the adults could share their dinner with me, instead of me drinking only milk milk in the past. Wow, I didn't know that those food taken by the adults are so yummy. I get to eat fried rice & fish fillet at one occasion and Japanese soba, paper hot pot & even tempura seaweed at the other. It's becoming my habit to request tibits from godma whenever I reached home at night. Godma tried to replace biscuits with bread last night and I refused. She's now worried that I have taken too much tibits and will refuse to eat proper meal eventually.. :)
Oiishi.. slurping soba like a little Japanese kid

My mummy and Godma are a bit worried about me cos I am getting more and more playful. Godma tried to teach me alphabets using flashcards but however, each time after the "B" or "C", I will walk towards her and snatch away the cards from her. I will then play with the cards or throw them on the floor. Mummy even bought me VCD on alphabets. After the opening "ABCs" song, I will then wander off to play other toys. They now tried to make me read the ABCs book. I think that is more effective for me as I like to flip the pages after pages and I could recognize the objects.

My days are quite routine. My parents will send me to Er Yi's house in the morning while I am still sleeping. They will pick me up in the evening after work. By the time I went back home, it was about 9pm. I will play for a short while before my parents shoo me to the room to prepare me for bed. Nowadays, I am taking a longer time to go to bed. After my milk milk, I will walk round and round the room, climb up and down the big bed countless times. I will play all sorts of tricks I can think of until I get tired. I am tiring my parents out.. hehe..

I am now 16 months old. I went to the doctor for my routine checkup last week. The doctor gave me an injection on my chubby little thigh. I cried so loud that everyone waiting outside the doctor's room could hear me. They were staring at me the moment I stepped out from the room and my parents felt a bit embarrassed.. hehe.. thanks to me :p
See the mighty little Ezanne. Trying to accomplish two tasks at one time..
Godma always complaint that it's hard to take a good picture of mine cos I am always on the move. Now I pose for the camera for 2 seconds and she only managed to capture 3/4 face of mine.. sigh...

Aiyoyo.. My little precious almost got lost last weekend. Mummy had brought her out to The Central for shopping with the whole family. While they were outside the mall taking pictures (so vain hor), little Ezanne somehow managed to escape everyone's view and wander off by her own. Luckily mummy realised she was gone missing and managed to catch her backview before she turned into a corner inside the mall. Ezanne had went back to the Hush Puppies store to see the figurine dog outside the shop. She was so attracted by the dog that she did not require any adults to accompany her. Normally she will make sure that the adults are walking behind her or within her view.
When mummy found her, little girl gave mummy a megawatt smile, without knowing that everyone was looking for her.. haha.. Mummy and Daddy, please take this as a lesson hor. Although Singapore is a safe country, there are still some kids gone missing. Be more careful okie..
This video is extracted from GY khor khor's blog. I was quite surprised after viewing it. You can see that Little Ezanne really loves dog from this video. Look at the way she stroked the dog gently with her little hand (though it's only a figurine). She seldom had any contact with dogs since birth. But she seems to have developed a special liking towards dogs. I find it quite special for a one year old toddler..

Xuan can now say quite a few words like ball, dog, bowl, sit, bye bye, up, bu yao (dont want), bao bei (previous), bao bao (carry). She can even connect a verb to an object. She will say "kick" when she sees a picture of a ball and lift up her leg. When you give her a bunch of keys, she will ask you to open the door. When she sees a comb, she will use it to comb her hair. Quite smart hor..
Last nite, I was going through a doggie book with her during her bedtime feeding. After she finished her milk, she flipped through the book on her own while I talked to mummy. Suddenly, we heard her said "Eat" and she pointed to a picture of a dog with biscuit in it's mouth. She repeated what I said to her minutes ago! Mummy is quite happy about that. It is also very encouraging for us to teach her more things, seeing that Xuan is progressing quite well in her learning stage.
Wow.. I love this motorcycle ride with music. It only cost my daddy 20cents for my 1 minute enjoyment. Worth it right? Can I have another round, please...
One of my routine before I sleep. I like to play with the belts.. hehe..

Little Ezanne knows how to throw tantrum nowadays. If we did not let her have her ways, she will start to whine or cry. We will try to distract her and bring her to another room to play with her. Sometimes, she will look for "saviour" to carry her after she threw tantrum. She will come look for me when her parents reprimand her. At times, I have to resist the urge to scoop her up seeing her little face full of tears. Sometimes I just gave in and soothe her tears away. I believe her parents feel the same. However, we know that we have to start discipline her at a young age. This is for her own good.
Take a look at the video below. Little Ezanne was crying, jumping up and down when I refused to let her have my camera... where has my little angel gone to? ;)

Bravo! Little Ezanne could walk independently yesterday. This is a real milestone for her. She used to make us hold her little hand and guide us to whichever place she wanted to go. And now she has the freedom to go wherever she wants in the house.
She started to walk a few steps at about 13 months. Let's set the record at 14 months old. Currently, she could make quite a long steady walk around the house. I am amazed at her sudden advance to another stage of her growing up. Children grow up very fast and I am trying hard to record her growth in this blog at this busy time of the month.. haha.. Spongebob! Ohh, not for me but GY khor khor?
Nacho chips!!! It's my first time eating..Hehe.. it's so yummy..
Ahhhh.. chuhhhhhh... excuse me.
What is Ezanne doing with her pampers in the kitchen?
